Cipriani's 50th Anniversary Celebration It was on May 26, 1958 that Commendatore Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of the renowned Harry's Bar in Venice, opened the Hotel Cipriani on the island of Giudecca. At the time, the price for a room was 8,000 Italian Lire and a Bellini cost 500 Italian Lire! In 50 years the Hotel Cipriani has become one of the most exclusive hotels in the world. Fortuny Restaurant Delicately blown glass, precious fabrics and amber-coloured mirrors, magnificent views of the lagoon and architectural details reminiscent of St. Mark's dome come together to create the perfect setting for a romantic candlelight dinner.
Its terrace is set in a lush flowered garden with a beautiful antique water fountain bordering the lagoon.
Cipriani-style food is simple, fresh and perfectly prepared: pasta and pastries are made in the hotel daily, as are your breakfast croissants.

Fortuny Terrace
The Fortuny Terrace is set in a lush flowered garden with a beautiful antique water fountain bordering the lagoon. The gentle sounds of the bar piano float on the warm evening air across the Terrace garden, making dinner a truly romantic moment to treasure.
The Fortuny Terrace is open for dinner, with seating inside in case of poor weather.
Cip's Club
This elegant yet informal restaurant was originally created for the two Palazzi of the Cipriani, the Vendramin and the Palazzetto Nani Barbaro and has acquired, since its opening in 1998, a great success both with clients of the hotel and with Venetian members of the Club.
The Restaurant enjoys a splendid view of St. Mark's Square and is within easy reach of our private pier in the Piazza San Marco, just opposite the Doge's Palace, from where our private launches run a 24 hour service throughout the Season. The restaurant seats 48 and is decorated with original paintings, watercolours and prints celebrating its view, one of the best in Venice.
Just in front of the Cip's Club there is a wonderful wooden terrace for outdoor dinners and luncheons, decorated in the style of the deck of a private yacht.
The Cip's has a private landing and a number of spaces for mooring private yachts, up to 30 meters in length.

The Ceremony
We can suggest local churches for official weddings and blessings or refer you to professional wedding co-ordinators should you wish to organize your civil ceremony in Venice, leaving you free to enjoy your special day. Our Antique Garden, Casanova Gazebo and Granaries of the Venetian Republic are beautiful, romantic spaces to accommodate your wedding ceremony and celebrations.
The Details
Rooms can be decorated to suit your exact requirements, with personalized menus, flower arrangements, entertainment during and after dinner, as well as spectacular firework displays.
Our Casanova and Antique gardens can play a wonderful role in weddings. The wedding of a famous film producer in 1999 was a great success thanks to the construction of a chapel decorated with flowers in the garden. A passageway was covered with rose petals flown in from California especially.
The Happy Couple
We also offer a very special three night honeymoon programme. The Venetian Interlude package has been especially conceived for the happy couple, making your stay in Venice as romantic as possible.
Rooms and suites range from the simply elegant to those richly furnished with antiques and beautiful artworks. For an extra special experience, the Dogaressa suite and the Vendramin Suite at Palazzo Vendramin and the three spectacular Guinness suites await.
The Palladio Suite is one of the best loved accommodations for memorable weddings in Venice. In the room rate are also included complimentary transfers on arrival and departure.

The Cipriani Cooking School has been a long-lasting and successful tradition.
As in the past year, the Management of the Hotel Cipriani is pleased to present an innovative program, consisting in two courses given by:

Attilio Di Fabrizio, Executive Chef of the Villa San Michele in Florence
Corrado Corti, Chef of the Hotel Splendido, Portofino
Chefs will host two separate sessions of cooking classes
featuring one special menu each day.
